9 Park Regis League Home 5 - 0 Won

The under nines kicked off their season with two good wins against Park Regis, the first game started with an early corner for Park Regis, dealt with comfortably by the defence which remained strong through out both games.

Coxheath’s first chance came from a corner with Bradley unlucky not to convert it into a goal. The first half continued with many Coxheath attacks however, goals remained elusive. The seconded half began promising with two early corners the first rattling the post. However ,the opposition picked up their game with an early scare that just shaved the home teams post.

It was not long before Coxheath regained control, the ball moved up the pitch towards Joe who turned his marker and passed to Ollie who hit the ball first time into the back of the net. The goal was soon followed by another when Bradley pushed forward on the right, crossed the ball only for a Park Regis defender to put it in his own goal, the game ended 2-0.

The second game began how the first ended several early chances, the defence still sound with Michael stamping his authority across the back. The first chance came when Kieran tried a cheeky lob from some way out for it to land just the wrong side of the cross bar. It was then Matt Coxheath’s goalkeeper’s time to shine, pulling off two fantastic saves under pressure from on coming strikers. Goals soon came in the form of new boy Joseph following up from Kieran’s shot, the half ended 1-0.

The second half began and Coxheath’s first chance on goal was expertly finished by Bradley after Joe sent him on his way with a nice through ball. Kieran then smashed the ball at the post with a free kick but his efforts were later rewarded after another cross was put into the net by a different Park Regis player! The game ended 3-0.

Man of the match was rewarded to Ollie and Joe, a great start to the season by the under nines!

16 Kings Hill League Home 4 - 0 Won

After a bright start Kieran Monk scored the first goal from a long range free kick. The contest was finished off early in the second half with Joe Cook having a simple tap in from a good cross and Kieran Monk finished the scoring with a good drive from outside the box.

The second game was a much closer affair Kings Hill were much stronger especially in the second half and Coxheath hung on for a hard earned point, their defence superbly marshalled by Paul Morgan and Ollie Cooke with some fine saves by Matthew Kemp in goal. Star Players: Joe Cook and Paul Morgan

30 Borough Green League Away 1 - 1 Draw

Coxheath under nines were brimming with confidence after last weeks win over premier division team Snodland Nomads however failed to replicate the same form in today’s game away to Borough Green. The first game was close throughout, with early chances from both sides, Borough Green forcing a goal line clearance from Coxheath defender Paul Morgan and striker Bradley Evenden worrying the opposition defence.

The first half ended 0-0 just after Coxheath keeper Matt Kemp made a sublime save. The second half began with an immediate penalty when a Borough Green defender handled the ball in the box. Kieran Monk stepped up to take it and struck the ball confidently into the bottom left corner. Coxheath controlled for the rest of the game and should of made it more with Joe Page hitting the post and several other chances being put wide or directed at the keeper. The second game started well with Coxheath controlling the midfield, great runs from Ollie Cooke and good defending for Joe Cook ensured both good attacking and defending.

The second half brought a stronger Borough Green team that dominated more and more. It was not long before they broke through what had been a strong Coxheath defence with a good free kick into the top corner. However Coxheath did not give up and carried on making threats towards the Borough Green goal. Another thunderous shot from Kieran Monk smashed into the Cross bar. The game ended 1-0 to Borough Green, man of the match awarded to Ollie Cooke and Joe Cook. By Jonny Cooke

Early in the second half the breakthrough came when Monk tapped home from a rebound. Burham faded after that and in the last minute Monk forced the keeper to tip over the bar.
